Mt. Saint Helens Trip

We decided to take a little detour on our way back up from Portland this weekend to see Mount Saint Helens. It was a beautiful day in the northwest, incredible views.

No Dogs Allowed?!?

The visitors center seemed very inviting...until we came across this sign.

What a veiw!

I have lived in the northwest on and off my entire life, even remember the ash left over from the eruption, but this was my first visit to Mount Saint Helens...nature never ceases to amaze me.

Batting Cages

More little league practice this weekend. We also went to the batting cages to get my stepson a extra batting practice. Amazing how fast those balls look like they are coming...and he can hit them!! I opted for some slow-pitch softball myself...pretty fun really. Kind of satisfying to connect with the ball and see it fly past, well, anything. But, boy do my shoulders feel it today!!

Doctor, Captain

Such an exciting weekend!! After a long, long four years, my sister graduated from dental school this past weekend. The night before graduation, she was also commissioned as a Captain in the USAF. Needless to say, there is slight confusion as to what exactly to call her :)

Little League Weekend

Our weekend revolved around little league this weekend...games, practices, sizing bats. In fact, there is a formula involving height and some other variables that will size a bat to a little leaguer for optimal batting performance. Incredible. Play ball!!
